The Balearic Association Against AIDS joins the Internet

In 1983 the first cases of AIDS were reported on the Balearic Islands. Shortly after, ALAS, the Balearic Association Against AIDS, was born.

Since then, ALAS has become a specific resource for VIH/AIDS related issues on the Balearic Islands and currently they have two offices: one on Mallorca and another one on Eivissa. Moreover, now they have a new space of action, their web page, where they offer vast information about the organisation and the programs they carry out, a guide to secure sex, treatments and social aspects of AIDS.

The web portal also includes several interactive sections, such as a forum and a poll, a photographic gallery, links and others.

These days, the news you can find on the front page is the preventive campaign "Fes Conding" (use condoms) aimed at the young people from the Balearics.
