V Course on Popular Culture of the Pitiüses

Once the programme of the Summer University of Eivissa and Formentera has finished, the university headquarters in the calle de Bes in Eivissa will hold from September 29 to October 2 four conferences as part of the "V Curs de Cultura Popular de les Illes Pitiüses".

The first will be a conference on curiosities connected with the place names on the Pitiüses by Enric Ribes, philologist, author of sever works on the toponymy of the Pitiüses Islands; the second will be a presentation of the Ibizan statutory law by Lina Sansano, anthropologist and director of the Museo Etnográfico de Eivissa; the third one is called "Les altres rondalles eivissenques" (the other Ibizan fables) by Marià Torres, and the course will end with a conference by Maria Lena Mateu Prats on popular Ibizan jewellery.

All the conferences of the course, organised by Sa Nostra with collaboration from the UIB and coordinated by Joan-Albert Ribas, will start at 8 p.m. and with free entrance.
