Mediterranean Evenings 2005

Concerts in Valldemossa, Calvià, Maó and Eivissa.

The cultural centre Costa Nord in Valldemosa, promoted by the actor Michael Douglas and nowadays owned by the Fundació per el desenvolupament sostenible de les Illes Balears, has organised a new series of Mediterranean Evenings. This year the programme features not only concerts in Valldemossa, but also in Maó, Eivissa and the Casino de Mallorca.

Bonnie Tyler will give the first concert in Costa Nord on Sunday, July 10. The British singer will sing some of her best known hits and will present her latest record called Wings. The programme will continue in Costa Nord on Saturday, July 16, with African gospel music by the Soweto Gospel Choir.

On Saturday, July 23, the series of concerts will reach the city of Eivissa where the Brazilian singer Carlinhos Brown will perform. And on Thursday, July 28, the series will continue in Menorca, in the Cloister of El Carme in Maó, with a performance by the Israeli singer Noa.

The series will end with two concerts in the Paladium Hall of the Casino de Mallorca (Calvià), included in the Jazz Voyeur Festival. On July 29 George Benson will be on stage and on September 10 Kool & The Gang will take their turn.
