Ordered labyrinth in the church of l'Hospitalet

Ordered labyrinth in the church of l'Hospitalet

Installation by Cis Lenaerts and Pepín Valdés.

The MACE hall of the church of l'Hospitalet in Dalt Vila is housing until July 18, 2004 the installation called "Laberint ordenat" by Cis Lenaerts and Pepín Valdés. As can be seen in the photo that accompanies this news, the principal element of the installation are some regular 30 cm. triangles that have a tetrahedron base and that have been conceived from Alexander Graham Bell's cellular stars. The montage is complemented by some vertical cords throughout the floor, with the guideline of a rectangle 90 x 120 cm.

According to the creators, "this is a complete intervention adapted to an existing space with the intention of enveloping it from the inside, stressing the restoration by the architect, Elies Torres. An installation based on the rigour of perfect mathematical forms that are the basis of all arts: architecture, painting, music, dance, poetry..."
