The IEE takes the "Festa de la Nit de Sant Joan" to Sant Agustí

At midnight a group of devils will light the Sant Joan bonfire.

The Institut d'Estudis Eivissencs (IEE) will celebrate next Wednesday, June 23, the traditional "Nit de Sant Joan", itinerant party that is held every year since 1971 in a different town of the Island. This year the festivity will take place in Sant Agustí des Vedrà with traditional dances by Sa Colla des Vedrà, theatre by Es millors de cada casa, and music by Cercavins.

During the festivity the research prizes "Nit de Sant Joan" will be given and the traditional Manifest will be read, in which the IEE states its point of view about the cultural and social reality of the Pitiüses.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. and at midnight the group of devils Els Mals Esperits will light the Sant Joan bonfire.
